It’s looking like I’m going to have an incredibly busy week coming up. Thankfully, we have a couple of trips to look forward to. A relaxing soak, some stylish accesories, and happy scents would all be icing on the cake.
I’m absolutely guilty of judging books (and almost everything else) by their covers. As a graphic designer, packaging is one of my favorite things. Gift wrap is a guilty pleasure. A well-wrapped gift is like two presents in one and I think even the most simple item is elevated by a good wrap job.
Here’s a quick tutorial I put together when I wrapped a birthday present this weekend…
What You’ll Need
wrapping paper | ribbon in two widths and colors | a cute tag
scissors | double sided tape (the secret to a clean look!)
Some days there’s nothing like the tried-and-true classics: jeans, slightly rumpled oxfords, a chunky watch… It’s the comfort food of the closet. It’s even better when those classics have gotten some modern twists.
Here are a few of my favorites:
While it’s obviously saturated with history and gorgeous architecture, Athens is very much a modern, bustling city. There are some gems to be found, but it’s not a highlight if you only have a short time in Greece. Spend a few days here and then hop a plane to visit the islands. Keep reading to get a quick snapshot on what to see, eat, and pack!
I don’t know about you, but Mondays are always about organizing my life for the coming week. A mad flurry of re-writing lists and double checking dates on my calendar. It’s a little “luddite” of me, I’ll admit it, but I’ll forever be a “pen & paper” girl. When it comes to lists, it’s so satisfying to cross off an item! Here are some pretty notepads and calendars to help you get your week organized. Some of these will definitely make their way onto my desk!
(Rifle Paper Co., I’m looking at you!)
In May, two great friends of ours got married in Greece. We were lucky enough to take the trip of a lifetime to see them tie the knot and traipse around the islands. We visited Athens, Santorini and Crete. Starting next week I’ll be posting quick guides on what to see, and most importantly, where to eat in each place, so stay tuned!
