When Mike and I lived in Miami Beach*, we lived in North Beach, far enough away from the craziness that saturates South Beach, but still surrounded by great things to do. One of the best discoveries we made in the area was a cute little Italian restaurant just two blocks from our apartment: Cafe Prima Pasta. It’s definitely a local gem, and one of our favorite places for a date night. Sadly we haven’t been there quite as much since moving away, but I’m dying to go back! (Hint, hint, hubby!) Our favorite dishes are the zucchini fries, the bruschetta, and the most delicious black linguine pasta with seafood. (Apart from homemade, of course.)
If you don’t want to drive to the area just for dinner–although trust me, it’s so worth it–you can make a night out of it with a little planning. In the [relatively] cooler months, the North Beach Bandshell hosts free movies and concerts. It’s a short walk from the restaurant, and after the meal you’ll have, you’ll want to walk it off! You can check out the movie schedule at mbculture.com.
Do you guys have any favorite date spots in the area? If you have any romantic spots where you love to go on dates, let me know in the comments!
